Such poor writing style, so pompous and smug! It makes it difficult to actually hear what the author is saying. "Gold of the Gods" from a few years later is much easier to read. As for the theory esposed, i still harbor a secret tolerance of the possibilaty that They came, mined, warred and split, leaving their hybrid spawn behind. “Chariots” impressed me when i was ten, but reading it again lately made me gag.
