Usually they don't seek advice, it just comes out of them. In my teens I experienced a lot of paranormal activity. Deceased relatives would visit me, I had no control over it. And I recently found out that my Great Grandmother was a Healer, is it possible some of her abilities, if not all were passed down to me?
